BOSS model Amy is getting her trainers out and tackling the Rotterdam Marathon to support CLIC Sargent in memory of her friend, Will Falck.
Here’s what Amy has to say about why she is taking on this important mission:
‘Will passed away from a brain tumour towards the end of last year after a short battle with cancer. He was an incredible guy with an exciting life ahead of him. He left behind his twin brother George, who will also be plodding the 26.2 mile course with me. Will was a big charity man, and there was one charity in particular that helped him through his last few difficult months: CLIC Sargent help young adults and teenagers with cancer. I am running for the charity, not only in memory of Will, but to help other young people who are facing this evil disease!
I’ve learnt the hard way that marathon running isn’t for everyone! With blisters galore, constant loads of washing and miserable nights out for long runs in the not-so-glorious North West weather! But I know for sure, that feeling when I cross the finish line will be one I’ll remember – or better or for worse!
So dig deep, it’s the only thing keeping my legs moving!’
