What’s the first thing you do when you get up in the morning?
When I finally roll out of bed, I grab my phone and check all my messages. I’ve now banned myself from being on my phone after 10:30pm so I can get the perfect sleep. I have a quick look on Instagram and see what my friends have been up to, then start preparing myself for the day.
What’s an average day like for you?
No day is ever the same for me really, that’s why I love agency life. I’m quickly getting to know all the models and new faces. I’ll have chats with them and find out all about them and the direction they are heading in. I’m super busy at the moment organising test shoots too so it’s GO, GO, GO!
How do you like to spend your downtime?
In my downtime you’d most likely catch me having coffee, gossiping in the city with my friends. I love coffee and food, so I’m always trying to find new cafes and restaurants to visit.
How did you get to where you are?
When I was really, really young I used to do a little bit of modelling myself in London. Every time I went into the agency it felt so magical and fabulous, it made me want to work in an agency myself. After finishing college I worked in retail and realised it wasn’t really the life for me. I met a group of creatives who wanted to start a model agency alongside a magazine. I worked with them for a few months and loved it. After getting some experience I knew I wanted to work for a bigger agency like BOSS.
What do you do when you get home in the evening?
Even though I finish work at 6pm I rarely return home until 9 or 10pm as I’m always out and about doing my little thing! When I do get home I usually just dive into bed and find some junk reality TV shows to watch online.
Do you have any nicknames?
Raimz, Ray-man, Ray, Ramma-dama-ding-dong (don’t ask).
Last book you read?
I usually commit a sin and read multiple books at once and never finish them. But, this month I’ve been good and finished ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower’ for the 10th time. I LOVE that book.
Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most?
This is EASY. Pia Mia (love of my life), Camila Cabello (other love of my life), Arianna Grande (third love of my life) and last but not least the one and only Naomi Campbell – even though I most likely would be too scared to even breathe, never mind eat in front of her.
What do you love about your job?
I just love watching the progression of our models. It’s hard to explain unless you work in an agency, but imagine scouting a model and then helping to build their career and watching them blossom. It’s almost like a motherly relationship where you just want your child to do well! It just so happens I have 100s of children and I get paid to make them a star…
What do you wish you would change about your job?
There isn’t really anything that I would change about my job. I actually love it and I’m in such a good place right now. I’m so happy to be back in Manchester and the industry.
What are three things on your bucket list?
I have been travelling for a couple of years so I have been lucky to achieve a lot of things that were on my bucket list but I’d still love to: Explore South America, and Salsa in the streets of Puerto Rico whilst drinking cocktails; Do charity work with underprivileged children somewhere around the world and there are LOADS of festivals I’d like to go to! I’m thinking Coachella, Burning Man and Hideout next – I love festivals, they make me feel alive.
Favourite place in the world?
That is tricky! It’s either Gili Trawangan or so I’d call it ‘Paradise Island.’ I spent three months lay on the beach there. It would be there, or, Montreal in Quebec City, Canada. This place is the place of dreams – it is so elegant.
If you ruled the world, what would you change on Day 1?
I’d get Trump fired and make him be my coffee boy whilst I’m organising world peace.
What makes you feel most alive?
Being young, wild and free: Exploring new cities, falling in love and just always remembering we only live once so we should take advantage of every second.
How are you enjoying/not enjoying your new job (be careful!)?
When I first got into this industry I’ve always said I will work for BOSS one day, and look at me now. I feel like I’m living the dream.
Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know_____.
I’m a complete freak of the week.
