Leading film maker Mike Leigh has returned to his Manchester routes, introducing his new film depicting the Peterloo Massacre. Supported by our talented SA’s, including an appearance by casting booker Phil Lunt, this isn’t one to miss!
Set in 1819, the film is based on the real life events of the event that occurred when British forces charged on a peaceful pro-democracy rally at St Peter’s Field in Manchester, England. This became known as the Peterloo Massacre.
In an interview with the Big Issue North, Leigh said that “Peterloo should make you angry and feel sadness and grief…”
Rated five stars by The Guardian, Boss are very excited to be supporting this. The official release is in fact today, (2/11/2018) so find your seat and get watching!
